Baptism As Jordan was approaching his 13th birthday, he made the decision to be baptized. He had been active in the church youth program for several years and really seemed to know what he was doing and what he wanted. So, a couple of months before he turned 13, he was baptized at the First Christian Church of Orange - Disciples of Christ. This is the same church where his Celebration of Life service was held. Over the years, Jordan was very involved with this church. He sang in the youth choir, participated in youth groups, attended church camps every chance he had, and in his senior year of high school, he was a member of the church board. I believe it was the love and caring he received from the wonderful people at this church that, to some degree, fueled his interest in studying religion at Reed College.
